Set in the Vale Of Esthwaite famous for Beatrix Potter(a founder member) & William Wordsworth the show field is situated half a mile north of our quaint village.
With plenty of attractions for people to see all day - We have the judging of all horse classes ranging from the miniatures to the heavy horses, Private driving (horse & small carriage) and jumping classes, Judging of a large variety of sheep along with dogs & cattle.
The Horticultural is a must to see. With home produce, flowers vegetables, arts & crafts.
We have Hound Trails where you can have a little flutter on the dogs that follow a trail of aniseed around the countryside,
This years main ring attraction will be Mr Mark Wylie and " The Drakes Of Hazard" You'll be amazed at the skill as man and dog work together in harmony to control, direct and navigate a troop of fearless Indian Runner Ducks around an obstacle course.
With over 50 trade stands there is plenty for the family to see and do.

Hawkshead show field is located 5 miles to the south of Ambleside to the west side of Windermere Lake.
Take the A593 Coniston, Langdale road out of Ambleside for half a mile then take the first left onto the B5286 for 4 miles show field on the left to the north of the village, Post Code for SAT NAV LA22 0NN
Traveling from the south or Furness Turn off the A590 at Newby Bridge onto the B5286 for 9 miles, at the recreation ground turn left onto North Lonsdale Road. Half a mile North of village show field on the right.
